Whats Included in Vacuflex Reflexology
Reflexology Boot Treatment
The Dougans International Vacuflex uses a vacuum boot foot reflexology treatment together with a vacuum cupping treatment sequence, along with the acupuncture meridians that transverse the whole body. The thoroughness of Vacuflex ensures that the patient always receives a complete and consistent treatment every time, regardless of the practitioner’s own strength or accuracy of interpretations. Specifically designed felt boots are put on the feet and six minutes of pressure is applied to the feet at a pressure that is consistent with the client’s comfort zone. A firm pressure is felt over the feet, ankles, and lower calves. This is done by creating a vacuum that causes the boots to constrict. During the boot treatment firm pressure is felt that may cause a prickly sensation, like pins and needles.
Meridian Cupping Treatment
Silicone suction pads are used to stimulate the acupuncture points along the meridians, on the lower legs and arms on both sides of the body simultaneously. As soon as the pressure is exerted on the acupuncture point, a vibration is created that runs through that particular meridian and disperses molecules that are stuck together, thereby clearing any blockages and allowing the energy to flow along the pathway. The suction pads are moved around the body relatively fast during the treatment sequence, which creates an effective treatment.

The Elimination and Healing Process
Nutritional Analysis
A full Nutritional & Lifestyle Analysis takes place before the Vacuflex treatment because it enables the therapist to find out whether their symptoms may be caused by nutritional or lifestyle factors. When many symptoms are experienced, they can be associated with some suspected nutritional deficiencies, the symptom diagnosis enables to identify where there are major or minor imbalances taking place along with dietary strengths and areas to prove nutritionally. Included profile areas …cardiovascular, exercise, pollution, stress and glucose digestion and immune system profiling. To understand fully the underlying causes of why the symptoms may be taking place.
Foot Massage
The therapy applied to the feet using the vacuum boots results in various colouration patches appearing on the feet which last for approximately 15-30 seconds. Using reflexology terminology the colours highlight areas of reflex and meridian congestion. The colours appear as red, blue, white and/or yellow. Red indicates high acid deposits, blue indicates acute pain or stress in the organs, yellow indicates mucous and white appears where there are chronic conditions confirming lack of oxygen in the cells.
It is quite possible for deep elimination to take place, especially after the first treatment, The elimination can take in the form of strong urine, frequent bowel movements, headaches, extreme tiredness and/or emotional outbursts. The patient may not however experience any of the above symptoms, but instead feel may feel light and revitalised. This will depend entirely on the individual concerned and their particular genetic and symptomatic make-ups. Detox symptoms usually last up to 24 hours, after which the body will be revitalised. The ultimate goal should be regular treatments to continuously revitalise the body and its functions.
After the vacuflex treatment the meridians on the toes are stimulated manually by the therapist, after which a relaxing foot massage is given to end off the treatment.
CASE STORIES
A PIECE ON VACUFLEX IN THE PRESS
“Therapist Fiona Slatter trained in her 'art' after undergoing the treatment herself when conventional medicine failed to help with a recurring back problem she acquired while working as a chef. She now combines it with dietary advice that even I was able to stick to, because what she said made sense. The first session takes an hour. Fiona wiped my feet with antiseptic lotion before putting plastic bags under one-size- fits-all felt boots. Larger plastic bags were then placed over these and sealed with elasticised bandages. The air was then sucked out for ten minutes. The pressure that built up around my feet was noticeable, but not uncomfortable. When the boots are removed Fiona is able to diagnose problem areas by 'reading' the resulting coloration on the soles of your feet, which varies from red to white to purple. Working in the same way as acupuncture, with parts of your feet corresponding to parts of your body, it's spookily accurate. Reddish patches on my ankles indicated I had low blood sugar. Mini suction pads were then placed on the relevant acupressure points to help unblock what what Eastern medicine describes as 'meridian' or energy lines, allowing vital nutrients to get through. Fiona then followed that up with dietary advice. Despite keeping fit. I admitted to eating sporadically to keep my weight down. I also have poor sleep patterns, heavy periods, occasional thrush and cystitis, increasingly puffy knees, the odd spot and, along with the entire population of 21st-century Britain, varying degrees of stress. After the diagnosis and nine half-hour treatments, I'm a new woman: I haven't had as much quality sleep since before my children were born. I've also stopped bingeing. I now eat little and often, and avoid eating carbohydrates and proteins at the same meal with the result that I've maintained my weight without the constant 'highs' of starving and 'lows' of pigging out. My periods seem to have eased beyond all recognition. I also have the clearest skin I've had since before puberty and am so far untroubled by thrush and cystitis. Further to that, my creaking knees have improved no end. I was impressed with the treatment - and so, too, are many others. Patients range from children with eczema to footballers with repetitive injuries and pensioners with arthritis. Fiona has also had success with migraine sufferers and women on IVF treatment. A maintenance programme is usually advised but some problems can be sorted in just one or two sessions”. Source: - Text by Kerry Ross “Vacuflex: Give ailments the boot”.
